Elsa qualified as a Doctor of Genetics and Microbiology in South Africa in 1989. After moving to the UK in 1990 she worked at Imperial College London doing research in Parasitology before joining the team at Vetcall Veterinary surgery in 1998 and later Galley Hill. For some relaxation she  enjoys running the odd marathon, exploring Epping Forest with her dogs and spending time with her family.
